BEIJING, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) — A 4.6-magnitude earthquake jolted the Dabancheng District in Urumqi, capital city of northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 43.72 degrees north latitude and 88.26 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 32 km, said a report issued by the CENC. ■
