From an estate. This is a hard-to-find antique tabletop mercantile "shopkeepers " scale by Parnall & Sons, manufactured possibly in the late 1800s. It is a beautiful brass color and its markings are still readable. We do not know if it accurately weighs objects. The scale measures approximately 26"H x 11"W x 21.5"D. It was displayed in an office for many years, and would make a great conversation piece for the next lucky owner.
