Description

Super find, this Hampshire tankard pitcher exhibits a combination of arts and crafts and deco combined.  I would say this item dates to the late 19 teens through the middle 1920s.  A rich and thick blue/turquoise glaze covers the ewer with mottling effects using lighter colored overspray.  From my perspective I believe two branches of bamboo grow from near the base and join close to the top forming a medallion/open area on each side. It stands approx. 9 3/4” tall, 6 1/4” spout to back of handle, 4 1/4” diameter base. The vase is in excellent factory original condition, no post factory chips, cracks, damage, or repairs. There are several minor glaze flakes around the base that I believe were caused when the item came out of the kiln and the excess glaze was ground off the bottom so that it would sit level.  Well marked on the bottom.  The pitcher as well as the handle ring nice when lightly tapped indicating no hidden hairline cracks.  Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description. This item will be double boxed and shipped via FedEx ground/home delivery fully insured.  it will be posted in a buy it now/make offer format. All reasonable offers will be considered.
Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.
Thank you.
