Vintage English Original Green SALTER Household Scale No. 46 w/ Round Metal Pan

Wonderful vintage English SALTER cast iron and metal household weighing scale model No. 46, with original dark green paint and gold highlights. Original round metal pan. Dates to the 1930s, from England. This scale would have been used in a household for weighing out coin wages for the staff; ingredients for baking. Weighs up to 28 lbs. Gold gilt highlights on the edges. SALTER logo of rope and arrow on face of scale and on the base. The face of the scale is metal with original black dial. Very easy to read numbers. Face has aged with a lovely warm patina. Original green paint shows use and age, as should be expected.  Considered by collectors to be in very good vintage condition. The metal backplate covers the internal spring mechanism which is still functional and can be adjusted/calibrated with the screw on the one side. The round metal weighing pan shows age and use; great patina. Scale with pan are a lovely addition to a collection; we love these old English scales displayed on a kitchen counter or table, with pan filled with seasonal fresh fruits like apples, oranges, lemons.
Scale measures 11 inches tall (excluding pan); the face measures 6.5 inches in diameter. The base of the scale measures 7 inches across. The shallow metal pan measures 8.5 inches in diameter.
